Dog walking in Rockingham and Hamlet
A regular midday walk for working owners, or a longer walk for a dog with energy to burn.
What a walk includes
- A walk around your neighborhood, or play time in your yard
- Fresh water and a towel-off after wet walks
- A short note or photo after each walk
Who uses a dog walker
Owners on long shifts, people who commute out of town, and owners of young dogs who need more exercise than a yard gives them.
Heat and storms
Summer afternoons in Richmond County get hot. Ask your walker to go early or late on hot days, check the pavement and carry water. In storms, a walk may become yard time.
Need a quick visit instead?
If your dog mainly needs a potty break or a meal, a drop-in visit is shorter and usually costs less.
What is the difference between a pet sitter and a dog walker?
A dog walker comes for a set walk, usually 20 to 60 minutes, focused on exercise and a potty break. A pet sitter looks after the whole routine at your home: feeding every pet, medicines, litter, a check on the house, and overnight stays while you travel. Many sitters do both.
How long is a walk?
Most walkers offer 20 to 30 minute walks, with longer walks available. Ask what each length includes.
Can a walker come every weekday?
Many offer a regular weekday slot. Put your days and preferred time in your request.
Tell us your dates
It takes about a minute. A local sitter gets back to you to talk through your dog's routine.
